Welcome to The Clean(ish) Kitchen! My name is Megan and I’m so glad you are here.

I’m a recovering dieter and I’ve done it all. Low calorie, low carb, low fat, low satisfaction… Until I found clean eating. However, once I dove in to clean eating, I became overwhelmed with the rules (especially since the rules change depending on the source).

After years of failing time and time again, I realized that food doesn’t have to be about winning or losing. It is about nutrition and fueling our bodies to feel the best we can. It’s also about enjoyment (hello, birthday cake!).

Which brings us to The Clean(ish) Kitchen. A place with no labels and no judgement that celebrates food at it’s finest. Real ingredients that create really delicious recipes. Below are the guidelines my family follows for clean(ish) eating:

  1. Choose real, whole foods over processed foods.
  2. Purchase items with ingredients you can pronounce.
  3. If you are at a birthday party, eat the cake. It’s a celebration!

So, take a look and get inspired to create your own clean(ish) life. And enjoy some cake every now and then 🙂
